Why why why?
As I have mentioned before, i have been watching the Tour de France of a night live from France. Its been enjoyable to watch as there has been some excitement and the scenery that i have seen in the South of France has been stunning. Lots of great mountains and beautiful old French towns. Makes me think i might like to visit the area some day! If i had the money then i would also love one of those Cheateu’s or Castles on the top of Mountains that are scattered around the place.
But one thing has really struck me as interesting looking at the world of cycling, that people are still continuing to get get caught using performance enhancing drugs like Richardo Ricco who was leading the hill climbs as King of the Mountains. Its well known that in the past cycling has had more than its share of drugs cheats and is now actively hunting them down as well as the fact it is now a criminal offence in France. it leaves me wondering why you would try to use them when the chance of being discovered is so great. there goes your career and integrity when you get found out.
Fingers crossed that we have seen the last of the cheats
