Take the chance
I really wish i could have been home to watch the Phoenix lander touch down on Mars but instead i was stuck at work. Its incredible now to sit here on my bed in front of the tv and watch images from so far away!
Some of the media reports I read before the landing was quoting that the fact that even with all their science and technology at their disposal there was still a less than 50% chance of a successful landing and it was critical of that kind of risk. But at the end of the day its all about taking the chance to get something good.
I am looking forward to seeing a lot more images soon. It really is one of the things that i do find cool. Very cool.
