Doesn’t mean i actually want to look inside
On this a monday i did something out of character. I decided to join eharmony, an online dating site. Its not something that i usually do but i felt curious about their personality profiling part of the service.
I will be upfront and say that i am not a fan of the whole personality profiling service. I find them uncomfortably confronting. I guess its just a little too intraspective for my tastes. The actual questionaire took close to 15 minutes to complete and was reasonably detailed. Then with some reluctance and hesitation i decided to actually look at what it come up with. Oh my, that was a shock. My intial reaction to the personality profiles was no way, thats not me, not even close. But then i read it a little closer and realised yes, that certainly is me.
As i sit here now reflecting on the whole profiling thing i realise it was just a little too confronting for my tastes as while i am comfortable in my own skin, it doesn’t mean that i actually want to look inwards. Too uncomfortable.
My opinion might have been different if i actually found any matches!
